Not add suffix to a subdesign

Hi all,

I have two sub-designs.
I have added SUBDESIGN_SUFFIX property for one of them manually.
I only instantiated once the other one and I don't want to add suffix to this one.
Is there any way to do that.

    You mentioned that you have two sub-designs. Do you mean, two identical hierarchical blocks (sub-designs), you have placed on schematic and on one of them , you have defined SUBDESIGN_SUFFIX property and on other one you have not, right?

    No, they are not identical.
    But for one of them I don't want to add any suffix.
    For example if I have U1 in the subdesign, I want to keep U1 after packaging the top level design.

    If you want to maintain a hierarchy and want incremental unique reference designators at multiple hierarchies without any suffix, you should not apply/use the SUBDESIGN concept.

    You should not use GENERATE/FORCE/USE SUBDESIGN at any level while packaging and directly go for 'Generate view' to create the hierarchical block.

    Also, don't use SUBDESIGN_SUFFIX attribute at block level.
