Error while converting from Orcad layout(v9.1 to Allegro v16.2)

Hi Folks,

I converted the Pcb file from Orcad Layout to Allegro ver 16.2.As told by  someone in   this   forum, it doesn't convert exactly as you see in the Orcad Layout. Two layer card  in orcad when converted became 6 layers, with what ever work around method known to me, i tried to delete the middle layers, but then in vain.As it is working Card in orcad,we would like to convert it to Allegro exactly with no changes whatsoever..To my observation i see most of it have been converted, with only few exceptional like board outline, layerstackup, footprint padstackup etc..

If someone who already have done the conversion from orcad to allegro, lease help me out...

 Thanks & Best Regards,

 Ramesh

Make sure that the settings are correct in Layout, the translation to PCB Editor will not add any layers. Go to the Layers spreadsheet in Layout and change the copper layers other than TOP and BOTTOM to "unused".
