E- (SPMHGE-82) error while placing part manually

I encounter this error when I tried to places a part manually.

E- (SPMHGE-82): Pin numbers do not match between symbol and component. Run dev_check on device file for more information.

When I ran the Netlist in Design Entry CIS, everything netlisted fine with no errors. Only when I removed the an old part and tried to update the new part manually, I have this problem.

Can anyone tell me how to run the dev_check? Thanks in advance.

    Which version are you using?

The CIS<>PCB Editor flow won't be using device files, these are only used with the HDL and third-party flows.

The problem will be that the Pin Names / Numbers do not exactly match between the schematic part and the footprint.

When you "removed the old part" was this in CIS or PCB Editor? In PCB Editor, you can only unplace components since the netlist needs to come from the front end to effect changes.
