Properties in Concept

Hi all, I am a new concept designer? I don't now what is different " key properties" and "injected properties" in concept symbol? When will we use them? Can you help me? How can I add one file *.ptf (part table file) to one symbol? Mean that, I want all file *.ptf of one project put in one folder. How can i attacted those file to each different symbol.      Hi Elek,

    Part table files can be either library level or cell level. There are advantages and disadvantages with both techniques.

    With a library level ptf, there is a single ptf file that includes ptf entries for every component in your library.

    The cell level ptf is stored with each schematic symbol. In this scheme, each cell level ptf contains only entries for those components associated with that schematic symbol.

     You are free to choose whichever scheme you wish. 

     

    Looking into the ptf, each component will have one or more lines. On each line, there are a number of values, an "=" sign and more values after the "=" sign. 

    The values on the left of the "=" are written to the schematic.

    The values on the right of the "=" are read by the packager when you export your design to the PCB tool, or create a bill of materials.

     

    You say you want to put all the part table files associated with a single project in one folder. That's a lot of work, and I don't know why you'd want to. Are you sure you don't just want a bill of materials? Compile the design and then run the BOM tool.
