Changing Layer Stackup

Is there a way to change the layer stackup without deleting all of my components? I originally made my design with the following layers:

 signal

pwr

gnd

signal

and I want to change it to:

signal

gnd

pwr

signal

I tried to change it by going to setup>Cross-section and renaming the layers. I also tried to delete them and remake them. When I tried to delete them I got the following error message: "Database error detected while trying to delete layer".

The only way I am able to change or delete the layers is if I delete all components and shapes on those layers. So I would have to delete all of my components and pours. Is there an easier way?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Tanveer, You can do this by creating a dummy layer( temp layer) in between the PWR1 and INR1, then swap the PWR1 to that temp layer and then swap the INR1 to the PWR1. so now the contents in INR1 is shifted to layer 3 and contents of PWR1 is shifted to layer4 as per your stackup. Finally delete the dummy ( temp ) layer. Follow the same procedure for INR2 and PWR2 also. Hope it will work.
