I need to include a complicate shape inside the symbol and it needs to net to ground. Is there a way to define the shapes net name inside the symbol editor?

     Hi,

In this particular case, I think the best way to handle this is to create an additional pin in the symbol and then create the pin shape you need in the PCB Editor. I saw your other post regarding the large amount of vias; have to think about that for a bit. Can you share what the component is? We could look up the spec sheet and perhaps help in your dilemma as long as it's not proprietary.

    Cheers,
