No Brd output to layout.

So, I follow the steps to create my design (schematic) I get it done, no errors and then save the file.

I try to "Export Physical" to have it able to go into the layout but there seems to be an eternity before it pops up and then it does not create the brd file. When I open the PCB Editorto try open the file it is nwhere to be found!

Am I missing a step? I have tried the tutorials/manuals but to no use asd there is no other step I seem to be missing.

Any help, much appreciated.

     Thanks!

So I need to make the board, place on the footprints of components and then import the physical?

Also, why does it take FOREVER to export? Is that becasue it is sea5rching for the .brd that is not there?

    Again, thanks
