.drl file generation reg.

when generating NC drill file 'm getting the bellow error.

 

WARNING: Design precision is greater than that of the drill output file data.

Data rounding errors are very possible.

ERROR: The number of integer places specified for the

drill output data is not enough for this design.

  • Check setup design parameters--->design ->accuracy.

    If the board unit is in mils set value as 2 & if it is mm set to 4  & In NC parameters FORMAT 5 ,5  then try generating drill file

              i designed an double sided board and tried to generate drill file, but it is showing the legend for only those components which r placed on top side.it is not showing drill legend for bottom side components.pls let me know how to generate drill data for all components.

  • Hi,

    I am a beginner to Cadance PCB design and I am doing a simple project to learn it. I have the same message in my log file and I did your commands but I still see that warning. Although it has been changed to this:

    WARNING: Design precision is the same as that of the drill output file data.

    Data rounding errors may still be possible.

    Where else do I need to change to remove this warning completely?
