Trace Length Computation

RRSQUAL
RRSQUAL over 13 years ago

Hello All,

I am trying to determine the trace lengths of addresses on a number of busses. These traces are within a "star" configuration with multiple loads. Setting up the pin pair configurations in the Constraint Manager works well for point to point, but is not accurate in this respect. Computing these lengths is very time consuming. Does anyone know of a skill file that may work for this?

 Thank you in advance.

    Hi Rod

I think this is dependant on the rules that you have set via CM. At the top of the report I get

    Net Name:           Test
      Member of Diff Pair: Test1

      * user scheduled net *
        U10.E27 T.1 T.3 T.6 U43.F8 ; T.6 U20.F8 ; T.3 T.7 U22.F8 ; T.7 U45.F8 ; T.1 T.2 T.5 U21.F8 ; T.5 U44.F8 ; T.2 T.4 U42.F8 ; T.4 U19.F8

      Pin count:              9
      RatT count:             7
      Via count:              16
      Total etch length:      6603.445 MIL
      Total manhattan length: 8496.432 MIL
      Percent manhattan:      77.72%

    But further down I get:-

    (SPhase) U10.E27 to U19.F8  actual= 2982.679 MIL.

Is this what you require ?
