Problem placing multi-part schematic symbol in Allegro Design Entry

 I just built a new schematic symbol using the spreadsheet entry method.  It has 9 sections (Heterogeneous) and I can place sections B through I with no problem.  When I attempt to place section A, I instead get one of the other sections (usually the one after the last one I placed).

 Any idea what is causing this?

     It woul be hard to tell without seeing the part data.  Have you tried bring the part up in Part Developer and see if it flags anything obvious?

    No.  I have not.  I am surprised because this part was not modified from another part (like adding or subtracting a part section).  I am able to place it by going to the last section placing it and then placing the first section, but I figured I gave having to do "stupid tool tricks" when I moved from Altium to Cadence.

     You shouldn't have to do "stupid tool tricks".  Something obviously went wrong in the creation of the part from the spreadsheet.  You should be able to place any section at will.

     I agree.  When I try to run part manager on the component, nothing happens.  Maybe my version does not support that.
