Convert Orcad Capture to Design Entry HDL

It is so disappointing that we dont have Cadence supported Translator with in our own Cadence tools, I would like to translate Orcad capture schematic to DEHDL flow, I used cap2cond.exe to do the same, still this is not working and stopped in middle. It is not actually creating pc.db, and this method is not supported my cadence! argh... Could anybody suggest a better method of translating capture to DEHDL

    Hi Anil -

Here's a Cadence Online Support Article that indicates you can use Elgris -

    Hi Anil,

It was some time ago i did any converting of a Capture shcematic to DE-HDL.

But if I remember right, Capture is quite forgiving when it comes to strange characters in name and properties. But DE-HDL isn't!

What I had to do was to clean up the Capture schematic from all kind of stuff like this before it could be converted.

I do not know if this helps you, just let you know my experience from converting a Capture schematic.

    Regards,

    Johan

Thnak you Jerry and Johan, I Used Cap2Cond utility to translate the capture to DEHDL. It is working well except for some things like special characters in orcad are not supported in DEHDL. Is there a list where I can see all the characters those are compatible with orcad but not with DEHDL?
