ORCAD CIS Database

Hi

I have recently upgraded my OrCAD release from 16.6 to 17.2. In 16.6 release, i have been using CIS feature and placing the parts from our .mdb database. I was just wondering if i have to do the same for this 17.2 release because i didnt find any database for our components in the CIS Explorer in 17.2

Is there is a feature in 17.2 release which can be used to share the same CIS database as for 16.6?

Thanks

You need to get the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable, this will allow a 64 bit ODBC connection to a 32 bit Microsoft Access, or Microsoft Excel, resource so that the resource can be available to both 64 bit and 32 bit applications. Note that, if you are running Office 2010, you will need to manage some DLLs since the Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable has no service packs applied but your Office 2010 installation almost certainly will have. Search the Microsoft site for the necessary installers and other information.
