Adding Multiple values to single field in CIS database

Hi,

I'm Using excel as my part database. I have to add two manufacturer part numbers in a single field named "MFGP/N". So When I try to place the symbol, I can choose which part number need to give like selecting one from multiple symbols. Is there any possiblitity to do so?

Yes, you can add multiple values to a field by adding values separated by the "Delimiter for Multi-Values" set in the CIS Configuration, Administrative Preferences, default is comma. Note that multiple values for the CIS database required fields, mapped to: Part Number, Part Type, Value and Schematic Part, are not supported.

The Manufacturer Part Number is reserved for the obsolete ICA fields, you probably need to have a table field named MFGP/N, or something like that, for this to work. No spaces between the alternatives would also be recommended. And you haven't mentioned which exact version you are running.

There have been a number of updates since the initial Base Release of 17.2 so "simply" OrCAD CIS 17.2 is hardly the "exact version", current version is 17.2-2016.s035 and the multi-value seems to be working fine for me.
