CIP error when searching in Distributor Search

Hi,

when I try to search in Distributor for some distributors I encounter errors. For digikey the error is "Invalid Partner Information", for Newark "The request was aborted: could not create SSL/TLS secure channel." and Arrow simply does not respond. The CIP version is 4.3. Does anybody some idea?

Below the picture about errors

The current release is 17.2.9.8 as far as I can tell.  I am concerned that you don't have RS Components in your list of distributors (pre 16?)

When distributors change their API that CIP uses, EMA has to update CIP to maintain the connection.

If you don't deploy the updates, you have to add new parts manually.

If you're on maintenance, CIP is distributed through the Cadence downloader.

    I have orcadCIS  version 16.6

do you know if the last version of EMA CIP-E site is compatible with Orcad CIS 16.6?

I wish to upgrade only CIP-E

To some extent, the CIP-E application and the tools version are independent BUT using the latest CIP version with 16.6 will mean that you will be unable to use the "in-tools" plug-in for CIP with Capture CIS 16.6 since it has some 64-bit components, you will need to use the CIP-E web interface for interaction with the CIP-E application, and database, and you will only be able to connect with the data in the database related to the CIP-E application. But, Place>Database Part will still work) You will need to have the latest CIP-E application to have the capability to support the latest API and Distributor endpoints. And, 16.6 was officially "end of life" as of 31st December 2018.

I have to stay with 16.6 until Mentor updates their translator.

I run CIS both 16.6 and 17.2 on the same DSN files and CIP server without any problems.

But, when you update the CIP server, you have to make sure all clients are using the DBC file for that version of CIP server.

At some point they moved this to C:\Cadence\CIP-E\Configuration_Files ...located on the CIP server.

It is the DBC file that needs to be checked every time you update CIP.
