17.4 - HF007 - Disable Capture StartPage...

Previously, there was a way to disable the startpage by adding

[Start Page]

EnableStartPage=False

in the file spinfo.ini but in spite of this the start page is displayed in HF007. Any other way to disable it now?

No sure about spinfo.ini but the Start Page could be disabled by setting ALLEGRO_NO_STARTPAGE under UI > Startpage category in User Preferences. It could be manually entered in the PCBENV/ENV file as well.

That's for Allegro (PCB Editor) And that setting is OK - No start page there.

My question was about Capture Schematic Editor.

Previously, there was a check-box "Do not show start page" or something similar when invoking the schematic editor. Then that parameter was listed in advanced options (or the other way around) and then a line in spinfo.ini and now the setting is gone altogether...

Go to Cadence\SPB_17.4\tools\capture\tclscripts\capAutoLoad and open capOrCADStartPage.tcl

At the beginning change "set spRegEnvOpen true" to "set spRegEnvOpen false.

This is the only working solution for HF007 now.

By the way, I have found a bit easier solution. Just create system variable called ENABLE_NEW_STARTPAGE and set it to false. No need to modify tcl file.

But I can't figure out why capture lags on my Win7Pro. 17.2 was way more fast!
