Hi I'm new to the allegro PCB editor and need to define some symbols for 1206 smd R's and C's.

Could do with some help when I get to the surface mount discrete parameters page, as to what exactly D, E and e1 actually refer to?

Check out the web site www.pcblibraries.com. it has a free land pattern calculator that will help you to define the size of the pad and the spacing of the pads. it well worth the download, and for a small price you can get the allegro symbol generator.
