    Try running it in admin mode, by right click on the icon and select Run as Admin.
    Which hotfix of 17.4 are you using ?

    Agreed with Ayush. Running it in Admin mode, it should bring up the model editor on the screen.

    If not, try following:

    hover mouse over model editor icon in task bar, small preview window will appear.

    Click RMB on that small preview window and select Restore. It should bring up the model editor window now on your screen.

    Click RMB on that small preview window and select Restore. It should bring up the model editor window now on your screen.
