How to Download the Discrete Cadence PSpice Model Library for Bipolar Transistors

Hello:

I'm running PSpice for TI. I would like to get some common NPN transistor models for my designs. There are several libraries which have been automatically installed with this tool, including one from Texas Instruments. The one from TI  does not provide any transistors with their libraries, and the PSpice library offers three NPN transistors.

The PSpice.com website (https://www.pspice.com/discrete/bipolar-transistor) shows that many transistors are available from the Cadence PSpice library.

How can I download some of those transistor models?

    The user interface for this site is a bit clumsy, and so is Cadence's PSpice tool.

    Good grief.

    Well, I was able to find an answer on my own effort. The answer is: I cannot download the Cadence Library unless I purchase the tool from Cadence.

    I don't think I want to pay money for this tool for theses reasons: 1) a perception of nonexistent support by Cadence in their own forum, 2) the help documentation is so poorly written that it is practically unusable, 3) the user interface for PSpice is a very clumsy design, 4) much of the nomenclature which is used for labeling the tool's controls, it's interface, and processes are poorly chosen. That's not what I would want to pay into. Very odd for such a large US company. However, it's not as bad as being a seller on Amazon's platform. My goodness, Amazon's back end is an outrageous and costly mess.

    If you buy PSpice you get access to the support website allthough the forum is good but it is for those that do not own a licence or using the free TI PSpice.

    Also if you buy the tool you do get access to the local seller of the software plus you also get to use other tools such as model editor and magnetics designer.

    I agree the documentation that you get could be improved but i think that cadence expects you to know how to use the tool and just have to occasionally look at the documentation.

    However to buy the tool you need to be able to justify the expense. Im lucky I was able to purchase the tool as a business expense
