Hi Team,

Have a good day!

I used Cadence 17.2 and designed a PCB board, then I imported this design into the Sigrity 2022 PowerDC tool. there had some virtual package(U10) in the work window, the real component location is position 2. I`d like to know what the virtual package U10, how to correct this problem? which tool should I fix it in PCB editor or PowerDC? would you please share some hints with me? thanks.

Br,

Shawn Li

Hello Shawn , How did you translate the *.brd file to *.spd format ? Now Power DC supports the direct translation of the *.brd file format to *.spd file format  i.e., you can load the *.brd file directly.  you may give a try to rule out the translation issue.

    Cheers,

    Shiva

    Hi Shiva,

    Thanks for your response!

I loaded my design board file directly in the sigrity tool, is it not appropriate for the translation? my design board was drawn by allegro.

Hello Shawn , you can give a try by unchecking the options below

you can find these translation options  from Tools >Options> Edit options ..

Try unchecking these options before you load the board file in to the Optimize PI 2022

    Cheers,

    Shiva Prasad
