What are the differences between Sigrity Engine I and Engine II?

The “Set Up Computer Resources” option is available only if you select the Sigrity Engine II license from the Choose Licenses Suite dialog box when launching Layout Workbench or the Sigrity tool. For Example, PowerSI II or OptimizePI II. 

It supports the following methods for the simulation: 

  • Setting up Resources for a Local Simulation on Windows 
    • You can use Distributed Solver Option and specify the total CPUs. 
  • Set up Resources for a Local Simulation on Linux 
    • You can run a local simulation using any of the following three methods: 
      1. Standalone Linux machine 
      2. Multiple Linux machines using SSH or RSH 
      3. Server Farm
