Why does DDR5 technology require IBIS-AMI models, whereas traditional IBIS or SPICE-only simulations were often sufficient for earlier DDR generations?

Options:

A. DDR5 operates at lower voltages and therefore requires larger S-parameter files.

B. DDR5 introduces receiver and transmitter equalization techniques such as DFE, CTLE, and FFE, which cannot be accurately represented using traditional IBIS models alone.

C. DDR5 replaces all channel simulations with transistor-level SPICE simulations.

D. DDR5 eliminates the need for signal integrity analysis by using on-die termination.
