Reply/Edit posts 'return' key broken using Safari

Please look into why this forum has problems accepting carriage-returns when posting from within the Apple/Mac Safari web browser. No other forums I participate in have this problem.
Firefox is fine but I find it to be too much of a resource hog once more than a few tabs are open.

    Just a thought. The problem could be that Mac traditionally uses '\r' as the EOL character whereas *nix uses '\n' and WinDOS uses the '\r\n' sequence. Firefox probably does some pre-filtering of all possibilities into a common character, probably '\n' because of *nix on the server backend. Andrew.

    Testing the 'br' and 'p' HTML approach to breaking things up.
