Reply/Edit posts 'return' key broken using Safari

Please look into why this forum has problems accepting carriage-returns when posting from within the Apple/Mac Safari web browser. No other forums I participate in have this problem.
Firefox is fine but I find it to be too much of a resource hog once more than a few tabs are open.
