Training Insights: Three Things You Can Do Now to Sharpen Your Digital Implementation Know-How

3 Jun 2022 • 2 minute read

Hello Custom Designers,

Many of us are experts in our domains and yet, dare I say, haven’t pushed as far past our comfort zones as we may have envisioned when we made our New Year’s resolutions.

The reasons are as varied as our circumstances – projects with aggressive deadlines, Zoom meetings over far-flung time zones, or maybe, we've spent too much time binge-watching the latest season of "Succession." Wink

Where have the months gone? And how time has flown as we realize that we are halfway into 2022!

A lot of tasks don’t take as much time as we might think they would, but what we do need to overcome is the inertia of breaking established routines.

Are you a mixed-signal designer who needs to integrate a small digital block into a mostly analog design?

Cadence offers a complete RTL2GS low-capacity version of the Genus Synthesis Solution and Innovus Implementation System software for block implementation called Virtuoso Digital Implementation (VDI).

Here are the specs of the tool.

If you are a whiz at Virtuoso, why not try these three things to expand your knowledge into the adjacent area of digital implementation?

  1. You can watch this training byte of the Innovus Implementation system user interface to view the physical implementation part of the tool in action.
  2. We offer an online class Virtuoso Digital Implementation, which you can take for free (as long as you have access to support.cadence.com).
  3. After taking the online course, you can tackle the VDI badge exam and after passing the exam, display the badge on your LinkedIn profile to show expertise in the synthesis and implementation domain.

The long days of a seemingly endless summer can also mean some time carved out for career-building learning opportunities.

Happy Learning!
