Virtuoso® ADE Verifier has been helping you verify your projects since some time now. But, do you wish for an extensive view of the verification progress, or to track the progress across different timelines? Do you want to create backups of your verification data at regular intervals and restore the data when required, or validate if your project specifications have changed during the verification cycle? Do you simply want to compare all project specifications across various timelines? If the answer to any of these questions is 'yes', then you will be glad to know that we have introduced the new Snapshots feature in ADE Verifier to fulfill all these additional verification-related requirements.
What are Snapshots in Verifier? Snapshots are a copy of the verification status of your project on a specific date and time. Using Snapshots in your verification cycle can greatly enhance the outcome, as these bring to you a bunch of awesome advantages. Let’s explore some of them:
Manage Outcome: Snapshots assist you in making conscious decisions by giving you a complete picture of the verification status of project at any given time. You can focus on the specifications that are falling short of the goals and improve the results.
Track Progress: Using Snapshots, you can track your verification progress over different time periods and compare the project results at different stages of verification.
Backup States: Snapshots function as timestamped backups of your Verifier setup. You can restore your setup to a previous state using snapshots.
Validate Specifications: Snapshots assist in validation of your project. You can take a snapshot of the ideal set of specifications in your project and ensure that there are no accidental or intentional changes.
Compare Results: Snapshots aid in the comparison of your verification results before or after a major software or hardware change.
