Training Insights – Important Facts About the Cadence Learning and Support Portal

Cadence Learning and Support provides a high degree of satisfaction and helps you be more productive and efficient.

This powerful, award-winning portal acts as a warehouse, letting you find the latest software updates, manage cases and Cadence change request information, find online trainings, access technical documentation, articles, RAKs, training bytes, and more. For example, we're proud to have nearly 5,000 Training Bytes videos and are excited to make it easier for our customers to find what they're looking for.

We also don't want to miss out on giving you an overview of what's possible with the Cadence Learning and Support Portal by showing different scenarios and thus answering frequently asked questions.

Some examples of scenarios in which you can use the Cadence Learning and Support Portal.

1) Debugging an issue through troubleshooting info and fast tool adoption with concepts and labs through RAKs

Login to support.cadence.com first (Cadence login required) and click on Resources – here you can see, amongst others, the Categories Rapid Adoption Kits (RAKs)   and Troubleshooting information .

By clicking on Troubleshooting information,  you will see all related content available so far. You can easily navigate through the page by opening the links with the Quick View icon  .

With the same procedure, you can find available  Rapid Adoption Kits (RAK´s)   The first lines under the link show a short description of the content. See example here:

2) Ramping up skills through Training Bytes and videos

Under “Resources” you will find all video material currently available on Cadence Learning and Support. We have an extra category for our that can be found by clicking on “Learning” and “Training Bytes”.

Here, you can see all Training Bytes (Videos)  we have currently available.

In all Categories, you can search by certain keywords and use a wildcard* search. In addition, there are various filter options on the left side of the page to refine your search.

3) Earning a badge after completing Online Courses

You might have seen our various Online Courses in the “Learning” category, which are also accessible 24/7 for free (as well as all the other material) for all customers with a Cadence Online Support Account. Please read this blog to get detailed guidance on how you can find suitable training.

You can set notifications for multiple products under Support Home > My Support > My Account and Preferences > Notification Preferences. You can decide the frequency (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly) of these notifications.
