Test point has poly under it

I am looking at specific origin points of labels, x~>xy

I want to do a simple test which would look at this point and see if it is on top of the POLY dg layer. The POLY dg layer would be at a different level of hierarchy.

Thank you if you are able to suggest an option. I am stuck.

    Hi,

The thread below has skill code that'll return a list of the layers at a given point across the complete hierarchy.

    http://groups.google.co.uk/group/comp.cad.cadence/browse_thread/thread/503a417a2bc94e33/452d4c829587484d

    The individual message is:

    http://groups.google.co.uk/group/comp.cad.cadence/msg/c12d840b2066e820

    If you change the line

(dbGetOverlaps d_cv (list pt pt) t depth)

    to

(dbGetOverlaps d_cv (list pt pt) (list "POLY1" "drawing") depth)

then it will return (list "POLY1"  "drawing") if the layer does exist, or nil if not.

     Cheers,

     Roger
