Test point has poly under it

I am looking at specific origin points of labels, x~>xy

I want to do a simple test which would look at this point and see if it is on top of the POLY dg layer. The POLY dg layer would be at a different level of hierarchy.

Thank you if you are able to suggest an option. I am stuck.

Thank you both very much for the great suggestions. I am not an expert SKILL person by any means, just enough to get me in trouble. I have been playing with this dbGetOverlaps and I wanted to ask another question. It seems to me that it is not truly checking for poly at a certain point. It seems to be finding any poly that has its bBox region encompassing the given point. I have a situation where there is a comb structure of poly, inverter standard cell with many fingers. I have a label that is off of the poly, sitting in between fingers. It is not sitting on the poly but it is within the bBox of the poly polygon so it comes back as true when I don't want it to.

Does my explanation make sense? If so, any suggestion on how to remedy? Truly appreciate everyone taking the time to reply, this is a great resource.
