Getting error in simulation

affaq

I am working in virtuoso 5.1.41 and have got ADE (L) and spectre ver. 5.10.41. I am trying to simulate 90nm design and have connceted design corners correctly. When I tried to simulate a design I get an error saying "illegal library definition found in netlist" and the .scs file to which it is directing is my design corner file. Also in CIW shows the error after successfully running the simulator as "Failed to get the MPS handle". Can anybody guide me where to look g´for and how to solve it?

Any help is really appreciated.

 Thanks,

Affaq

     Morteza,

Appending a 2-year old thread with very little details in your append is not the best way of getting an answer to your question.

It's not clear what exact error you're getting. Much better if you explained that.

If it's the same issue as before - "illegal library definition", then in ADE it's probably  because you are using Setup->Model Libraries and referencing the model file, but not filling in the section name field for the file. If you look in the model file, you would see library and section definitions - in the example I gave, you'd have to specify the section field in the Model Libraries form as (say) "NN".

But I'm guessing. I didn't split this off as a new thread (which it should really be) because you might be referring to the original error in the thread, or you might not, or you might be referring to part of it.

The better your question, the better the answer.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
