error while running spectre

Bhavsh
Bhavsh over 15 years ago

When i tried to run the spectre for a design ,the following error is coming  in CIW.

" *Error* Unable to locate 'spectre' executable in the specified path.
To set the correct path, use setShellEnvVar() in CIW".

I used ADEL in IC610,i thought this error is due to path in simulator/directory/host in analog design environment window,,but it may not be the cause for it..I am not getting exactly which path to change??.

How can i solve this??

The MMSIM71 release does not need configuring, so that's not a problem. The tools link does not get added (I personally think it should). In fact I always create the "tools" link and put <MMSIMinstDir>/tools/bin in my path. But I just tried it without the link present, and with <MMSIMinstDir>/tools.lnx86/bin in my path, and all was OK.

Perhaps you have something else in your environment messing things up. Can you type in the CIW:

    envGetVal("spectre.envOpts" "simExecName")

If this says something other than "spectre" it means that this has been altered somewhere (in the .cdsinit or in a .cdsenv file) to something, and perhaps that is not in the path.

    Best Regards,

    Andrew.
