question regarding real inductor model

tester

Dear All,

I have a question regarding setting the inductance of real inductor model. For instance, when I create an inductor instance in schematic, I can input Xsize, Ysize, width, spacing and number of turns, etc. What value that I need to pick up so that I can get the value that I designed for. Thanks and have a nice day!

This question is really very specific to whatever design kit (PDK) you're using. It's impossible to answer it generally, because a physical inductor will be part of the design kit - that may have feedback on the inductance, or there may be a synthesis tool to produce the appropriate inductor.

There are also various tools available to synthesize inductors (e.g. from Lorentz Solutions and Helic, to name just two - there are undoubtedly others - see Cadence Connections Program).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
