Pin warnings in abstract generator

affaq
affaq over 15 years ago

I have been continuously having following problems whenever I want to generate abstract of my cells.

Cell FA: Terminal CO has no pins on Metal1-metal2 routing grid.

Cell FA: Termnal CI has no accessinle pins on Metal1-Metal2 routing grid

Diagonal vias are NOT legal with this metal1 and metal2 pitch.

I have tried everything. Replaced pins, their positions but nothing happened. If someone can direct me through?

Regards,

Affaq

    Hi Affaq

Since you are seeing the diagonal vias message, my guess is that you are using abstract generator from IC5141. Would you please post the actual version which you are using? It is also very important to post the message IDs so that we can assist you in finding out more about the problem.

    terminal>abstract -W

For ABS-1075 (diagonal vias ...), it is because metal1 and metal2 pitch are too small.
For ABS-1076 (... no pins on ... ), it might be because your pins are offgrid.
For ABS-1077 (... no accessible pins ...), it might also be because your pins are offgrid and hence are not accessible.

You can refer to more details on the messages and the solutions in /your-path-to-IC5141/doc/abstract/abstract.pdf.

    Best regards
