IC613 shared libraries

Hi all,

I've got cadence 613 installed in one server and working perfectly.

Since I want that some users use this I was thinking on mounting the disk over the network on some workstations and run locally the software.

I tried this and everything seems to work but when virtuoso starts it complains about it's shared libraries (the ones distributed with the software). I've tryed modifying LD_LIBRARY_PATH and /etc/ld.so.conf without success... it seems that virtuoso don't use this to find the path. Any Idea?

The errors look like this (sometimes it changes the library name);

 /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools.lnx86/dfII/bin/32bit/libSelect.exe: error while loading shared libraries: libcls_sh.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
/data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools.lnx86/dfII/bin/32bit/libManagerOA.exe: error while loading shared libraries: liboaBase.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The libraries it complains about are just at /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools.lnx86/lib/ or in /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/oa_v22.04.028/lib/linux_rhel30_gcc411_32/opt/ with the corresponding 64bit path...

    I'm assuming you're picking up virtuoso from <instDir>/tools/dfII/bin - and not bypassing the wrapper?

    Perhaps you could run "virtuoso -debug3264" and post the output here?

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

     Hi Andrew, the answers of your cuestions;

     $ which virtuoso
    /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools/dfII/bin/virtuoso

     $ virtuoso -debug3264
    # CDS_AUTO_64BIT = ERC cdba2icc draculaInteractive icc2cdba ivVerify layout.exe layoutPlus.exe pipo
    #
    # PATH = /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/share/oa/bin:/data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/bin:/data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools/bin:/data/soft/cadence/2009/MMSIM70/tools/bin:/home/acomerma/opt/altera8.1/quartus/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games:/data/soft/synopsys/2009/FEV/syn_vC-2009.06-SP3/amd64/syn/bin:/data/soft/synopsys/2009/FEV/coreTools_C-2009.06-SP1/bin:/data/soft/synopsys/2009/FEV/fm_vC-2009.06-SP3/linux/fm/bin/:/data/soft/synopsys/2009/FEV/leda_vC-2009.06/amd64/bin:/data/soft/mentor/2009/ixl_cal_2009.3_32.24/bin:/data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools/dfII/bin:/data/soft/cadence/2009/ASSURA317OA/tools/bin:/data/soft/cadence/2009/SOC71/tools/bin:/data/soft/cadence/2009/IUS820/tools/bin:/data/soft/cadence/tech/AMS/AMS_Complete_4.0/cds/bin
    #
    # LD_LIBRARY_PATH = /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/share/oa/lib/linux_rhel30_gcc411_32/opt:/data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools/lib:/data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools/QT/lib:/data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools/dfII/lib:/data/soft/cadence/2009/IUS820/tools/lib:/data/soft/cadence/2009/ASSURA317OA/tools/lib

    # LOCAL_ASSUME_KERNEL = unset
    #
    # Launching: /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools/dfII/bin/32bit/virtuoso
    #

     but I get the same errors (both libraries are in the correct place /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools/lib);

    /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools.lnx86/dfII/bin/32bit/libSelect.exe: error while loading shared libraries: libckp_sh.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
    /data/soft/cadence/2009/IC613/tools.lnx86/dfII/bin/32bit/libManagerOA.exe: error while loading shared libraries: libddAccess_sh.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

    Investigating a little bit more I realized IC514 works perfectly and so does SOC encounter. So the problem is related to the changes of IC613 and probably OpenAcess stuff...
