Anyone used EQN(..) in Virtuoso-ADE->Setup Outputs?

I believe there is a way to make one Output depend on another Output. I don't know how though. In the past, someone mentioned something like EQN - similar to VAR("name").

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

Note that Quek's suggestion only works in IC614 and later.

It's possible in earlier releases to do this by doing:

    ABC: ABC=some_expression

    XYZ: some_other_expression-ABC

i.e. you have to assign the result to a variable, and then you can reference that variable. The problem is that ADE doesn't understand the order dependency (until IC614, using the supported approach without the =), so you need to carefully enter your expressions such that the variables are defined before they're used (they're evaluated top to bottom in the ADE window). The order can't be changed from the UI (until IC614 when you can drag and drop them, although this isn't necessary for dependent expressions - it figures out the dependency order).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
