Export gds

Hi, I have layout with all the devices orientation is horizontal. is there any way to export the gds by rotating the whole layout? (so that the device orientaion will be vertical) i am using IC6.3v Thanks, Sathisha

     Hi Sathisha,

    the GDS2-format knows mainly cells and drawing elements; the hierarchy is
    built up by placing cells within a cell, the placing is described by the location,
    the orientation and the magnification of the subcell;

    What you would need, is a rotation of the whole layout, but there's no element
    above your topcell to define a rotation of the topcell.

    What about just creating a new TopCell and placing your layout into it, at 0/0, scale 1 and R90,
    and then streaming out the new TopCell?

    This should solve your problem;

    if this rotation is allowed with respect to anisotropic processes and devices is a different question...
