Sometime it appends that Wavescan doesn't plot all the simulation results: If I run a simulation of 3 seconds it cut the plot a 10ms without error message. It seems to be random.
Thanks for your help!
Hi boulotWould you please try the latest version of Virtuoso and see if it still happens? May I know the current version which you are using?linux>icfb -WBest regardsQuek
Thanks for your reply.
THis is not the lastest version of Cadence. I use 5.10 version.
Hi boulotActually I have also seen this problem come and goes in the different subversions of IC5141. By the way, it is important to provide the full version info (e.g. IC184.108.40.2060.6.146) because IC5.1.x is at least 5 years old and so it is hard to guess the specific version which you are using. I have recently encountered the same problem and it seems that it does not occur for the latest version IC5141.500.6.146. Please consider changing to this version and retry. : )Best regardsQuek
OUps, effectively this the 220.127.116.110.4.83 ! So no way about my problem ! Thanks;)
Can you do an "ls -al" in your psf directory? If the results files are bigger than 2Gbytes, it may be because you're running spectre from an MMSIM release, where the default is to use single large files, whereas IC5141 still requires you to use the old "chunking" method.
This is enabled using "setenv PSF_WRITE_CHUNK_MODE_ON true" before starting icfb. This is described in more detail in Solution 11264780 .
BTW, the sub-version of IC5141 you're using is probably at least 4 years old (icfb -V will tell you the date). There have been two main updates and a lot of hotfixes since then.
