calculator expressions for MOS Vth by max gm method

Hi, I am having trouble writing calculator expressions for this measurement. I suspect it's been done before!

I do a DC sweep of Vgs and measure Id. It's easy enough to find the value of Vgs where gm is max: xmax(deriv(IS("/vid/PLUS")) 1)

But more tricky now is to "draw" a tangent to the Id vs Vgs curve at thsi Vgs value and then calculate the x-axis intercept.

Any help appreciated!

Is there any particular reason why you are using this method rather than obtaining vth from either Results>Direct Plot>DC Operating Points or Tools>Results Browser?
