number of transistor's fingers as a variable in ADE L

Hi,

Is there a way to define the number of fingers (nf) of a transistor as a variable in cadence environment? When hitting "q" and accessing the properties of the device in Schematics L it doesn't allow me to set a variable name under the nf option of the FET.

I would appreciate any helpful hint for this topic.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

    Jimito13,

In general this should be OK, but if you have a poorly designed PDK where there are callbacks on the parameter value which assume that the value is a number, then it won't work (see The Dangers Of CDF Callbacks) . You should contact the supplier of the PDK and raise this with them - many PDKs manage to make this work OK. You didn't say which you were using.
