About .cdsinit file

Hi,

I found the bindkey of IC6.1 is different from IC5.1. So I want to modify them. I made a file "bindkey" which will load il file and other settings and put it in my work directory. When I input load("bindkeys") in CIW, it works and bindkeys is correct. Because I have no permission to modify .cdsinit in install dir which on server so I make  .cdsinit file in local and write load("bindkeys") in it but it doesn't work. I think the software has not load .cdsinit file but I don't know the reason. I guess the search mechanism causes when first file is loaded the search will stop. Am I right? I hope someone can help me.

Best Regards,
Bobby

    hi Andrew,

I also have a question regarding .cdsinit file.

After I edited the file and saved, then started the virtuoso, but somehow it is over written to its original.  I have confirmed it was edited before starting the virtuoso.

What do I do to stop over writing one that I've edited? Where should I look causing this annoying problem?

    Thanks,
