Cadence does not recognize technology file

I created a library and I am trying to attach it to an existing technology library. The technology library shows up when I open the library manager. However, when I create a new library and select "attach to existing technology file", the technology library does not show up on the list. I am using Cadence 6.1.4. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

    Thanks so much for your reply, Quek. Yes the tech.db file is not there. Do I also need the data.dm file, or do I just need the tech.db file? It seems like this tech library is for Cadence 5. It works well in Cadence 5, but doesn't work for Cadence 6 since it doesn't have the tech.db and data.dm files.
