installation problem?

Hi. I am a student at UT Dallas, we are using cadence design suite. I am copying

the basic CAD folder to my home directory. I ran DRC a couple times, it was working.

After the couple times, it gave me: error: parseString: argument #1 should be either a string or

a symbol (type template = "SS") - nil. It mentions techComp.cxt, I cannot find this file anywhere.

My thought was that maybe there was something wrong inserted into the file somewhere, but it

was not anything that I modified. Any help would be appreciated.

You'll need more details about where the error message came from. Try setting these variables to get a stack trace on the error. Most likely, techComp.cxt is an unrelated print message.

    sstatus( stacktraceDump t )
    sstatus( stacktrace 8 )
    sstatus(traceArgs t)

Some Skill command is calling parseString which expects a string for an argument and it is getting nil instead. The stack trace should point out the culprit.
