"cannot be found in the switched master of the instance" error during netlist

Hi,

I have a routing in layout and I have extracted it and generated lumped model. For the lump model, I have created a spectre view by copying symbol to spectre and modifying CDF file through CIW>Tools>Edit>CDF. When I try to run simulation with schematic, there is no problem with netlisting but when I swithced to spectre view from config, I am starting to get

"Error: Netlister:terminal 'sub' of instance I151, in cell 'xxx', view 'schematic': cannot be found in he switched master of the instance."

message. I have another lump models like this but I don't have problem for those. I have checked termorder in CDF and it seems correct. I think I started to get this problem after adding manually sub pin to schematic&symbol for gnd connection in lump model(btw, lumb model was generated by ADS Spice Model Generator). Settings in CDF for model arel

Component Parameters:

paramType: string

parseAsNumber:no

parseAsCEL:no

storeDefault:no

name: model

prompt: Model Name

 defValue:xxxx

Simulation information:

Choose Simulator:spectre

termOrder: pin's names in my circuit.

Also, I have modified symbol from schematic by Design>Create Cell View to update prop.xx file to get correct termorder. I have also searched in the internet but couldn't find a solution. Hence, could you help me to fix this?

 My environment info:

o IC 5.10.41.500.6.143.

o Cadence Virtuoso Spectre Circuit Simulator Version 10.1.1.200

Thanks,

yayla

    Yayla,

Hard to be sure without seeing the data, but the message suggests to me that whatever is instantiaed in xxx/schematic as "I151" (probably a symbol) has a pin called "sub", but the view it is switching into (by virtue of the config) does not have that pin. The CDF shouldn't have anything to do with that message. The pins on the switched view (i.e. the "view to use" in the config for I151) must match (or at least include) all the pins on the instantiated view (typically the symbol).

If that's not it, I would suggest you contact customer support.

    Kind Regards,

    Andrew.
