Using runams instead of ocean

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to get started in the use of the "runams" command. My aim is to run several simulations from a PERL command but without invoking an ocean console. I found the help of the command and I tried to follow it. However when it finally runs I get the following error:

 ============================================================================================

 ============================================================================================

/opt/cad5/tools/dfII/bin/runams: environment variable CDS_TEST_LIBPATH is set for Cadence testing
/opt/cad5/tools/dfII/bin/runams: LD_LIBRARY_PATH for testing is:  /usr/lib:/lib:/opt/cad5/tools/lib:/usr/lib
/opt/cad5/tools/dfII/bin/runams: SHLIB_PATH for testing is:  /usr/lib:/lib:/opt/cad5/tools/lib:/usr/lib
/opt/cad5/tools/dfII/bin/runams: LIBPATH for testing is:  /usr/lib:/lib:/opt/cad5/tools/lib:/usr/lpp/X11/lib/R6:/usr/lib

I already contacted the system admin and he told me that we have a lot of free licences and that everything looks fine in my config script. Does anybody has any idea? Does anybody knows where can I find further docummentation for the "runams" command?

 Also... I want to extract some info from the output waveforms, but I would like to do this using commands. Do you have any idea how can I acces the output waves from the sim? Am I still attached to run an ocean console and access them from there?

 Thanks a lot for your time. Best regards!

     My guess is that you're using an old version. "runams" is relatively recent, and in the early days it was restricted to only those with an "incubator" license.

    Try a more recent hotfix of whichever version you're using.

    Regards,

    Andrew
