ADE XL doesn't run

navi2582

Hi,

I have looked at some previous posts and wanted to do the same, but

when I tried to execute,

$ldd Cadence/IC615/tools/dfII/bin/Xndx

I get a message,

ldd: Cadence/IC615/tools/dfII/bin/Xndx: No such file or directory

Is there any chance that this might be the reason for ADE XL to not run?

Or could anyone please point to reasons why it is not running?

Thanks,

Navi

    Navi,

It's not supposed to launch the Virtuoso window. That's the point... it's a "non-graphical" mode for Virtuoso, and this is what is being used for the background process. If you type "virtuoso -nograph" in a UNIX terminal, you should see:

And the last line is a prompt, at which you can type SKILL command (e.g. exit() to exit the virtuoso nograph session).

    Did it do that?

Probably your best bet is to go to customer support as otherwise debugging via the forum could be tricky!

    Andrew.
