Virtuoso Library size limit

Hi,

I am working on a memory compiler project and is now trying to stream in around 2000 cuts to

a particular library, but after streaming in around 500 cuts into my particular library the tool is automatically creating

individual libraries for each cuts.Is there any size limit for a single LIBRARY in cadence virtuoso (I am using the version IC6.1.5.500.9).Is there any available methods to increase the size of library?

Regards

Vipin

    Hello Vipin,

The number of objects handled in one single directory is limited.

If you would like to increase the number of objects in a directory try  strmin -help and you find a variable named maxCellsInTargetLib.You could increase this variable up to the limit defined by the LINK_MAX of your system. The default setting as implemented in Virtuoso is 20.000.

    Regards,
