Virtuoso mark net LPP control

I'm having trouble with mark net thinking that all LPP with the same layer are shorted. My PDK uses layer "M1" purpose "drawing" for metal 1 wiring, and layer "M1" purpose "exclude" for metal 1 fill blocking. Mark net thinks that these are all shorted together: is there a way to set it otherwise?

    Hi Steve,

If you are using a recent enough version you can make the Mark Net set up layer-purpose specific, start the command and use the F3 button to open the Mark Net Options form, then on the Via Layers tab set the ones to use with specific purposes.  Without doing this the default from the techfile will be used, where all the purposes are considered equivalent for a layer.  This setup can then be saved for re-use later.

    Hopefully this answers your question?

    Regards,

    Lawrence.
