LVS Problem running Fedora 19

It seems that all the installation and configuration process using
Installscape are finished without problem, since my schematic simulation and DRC run very well, but I encounter an error message like the following when I try to work on LVS.

virtuoso:   ERROR: The command /tools/cadence/IC610/share/oa/bin/
sysname returned an error status:
                            unknown
virtuoso:    INFO: Note that OpenAccess (OA) requires running the
Configure phase.
virtuoso:          See the "OpenAccess Installation and Configuration
Guide" before
virtuoso:          you complete the configuration step. This manual is
included with
virtuoso:          the Cadence product documentation.

Thanks in advance you guys

I'm not sure what you mean by  "I do not have enough tool to do so", but I'm pretty certain your issue is down to using a far newer OS than we support. Fedora 19 is what RHEL7 is going to be based upon, and that is definitely not supported nor tested (it's not released yet either, I believe). It's possible that a newer (IC616 ISR-based) version of Assura and IC may help, but I'm not sure as I don't have access to a machine to try it out.

Please try running these commands to see what they output:

    $ASSURAHOME/share/oa/bin/sysname -b
    $ASSURAHOME/share/oa/bin/sysname -v
    $ASSURAHOME/share/oa/bin/sysname -V
    $ASSURAHOME/share/oa/bin/sysname -m

That may help narrow down the problem. I'm not sure we'll be able to help much other than using a supported OS or a later tool build.

Note that DRC probably can run because it's run within Virtuoso, whereas LVS is run as a separate process.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
