Parameterizing a Parameterized symbol

RFStuff

 Dear All,

I have a symbol in which the component ''vcvs" is parameterized to 'gm'.

Please see the attached image.

When I want to put a parameter in the symbol 'gm' as Gm, it is showing circular dependency error.

How this can be fixed.

Kind Regards,

It's not clear what you're doing from those pictures. Having a instance inside a cell which has pPar("gm") is fine - and then setting the value of gm on the level above to a design variable "Gm" should also be fine. When is this "circular dependency" error being given and what is the precise (and complete) error message?

I've attached a small database with a cellView mylib/testbench/schematic - and a corresponding ADE state - which shows this all working - based on my interpretation of the information you gave.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
