Run Virtuoso 64bit

Paludo
Paludo over 11 years ago

I'm trying to run virtuoso 64bit, and I have experience some problems. The most common one is

Error while loading shared libraries (libGLU.so.1)

I tryed to get the software version but didn't have much luck.

Getting this error...

virtuoso -W

/usr/edatools/cadence/IC616/tools.lnx86/dfII/bin/64bit/virtuoso: error while loading shared libraries: libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

If you search foir libXp.so.6 in the community search (in these forums) you'll find a few posts. You didn't mention the OS distribution you're using, but on my RHEL6.1 machine it's from:

    RHEL61> rpm -q -f /usr/lib64/libXp.so.6
    libXp-1.0.0-15.1.el6.x86_64

    and on an RHEL5.8 machine:

    RHEL58> rpm -q -f /usr/lib64/libXp.so.6
    libXp-1.0.0-8.1.el5.x86_64

I think checkSysConf probably picks this missing rpm up too. You might have the 32-bit version installed, but not the 64-bit rpm.

    Regards,

    Andrew.
