Markingnet throught tilenot layers

Hi,

I am trying to marknet which is connected to critical block placed under tilenot layer. When i mark this, It is highlighting everything because of TileNot layer. Is there a way to marknet inside tilenot layer. I know, i can use Stop layer to stop it just before tilenot layer, but my requirement is to mark net inside tilenot layers also. I am using cadence IC616

Thanks,

Bharath.

    Hi Bharath,

I have once experience your problem.. I'm assuming "tilenot" is a purpose layer of metalx layer right?..

if this is the case, by default marknet will automatically trace everything on the metalx layer..

You should properly define the layer you want to trace and its layer "purpose"..

On the "MarkNet" option form.. go "Via Layers" tab..

Then manually define  the tracelayers to avoid tracing the tilenot layer

Example on the Add via layers

    Layer1  metal1 drawing

    vialayer via1 drawing

    layer2 metal2 drawing

    then press Add

do this up to the last layer you want to trace.

    Regards,

    Ghe
